Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Electrical Engineer position onsite in Norfolk, VA with Booz Allen Hamilton, focused on designing, testing, integrating, and delivering C4I systems for the U.S. Navy.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, troubleshoot, and oversee the installation of advanced C4I systems in afloat and ashore environments, leveraging emerging technology to support mission-critical capabilities.
- Perform testing and integration activities for C4I systems to ensure reliability and interoperability.
- Lead development and review of technical documentation, including test plans, system specifications, and design drawings.
- Oversee the development of workflows for technical teams to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Deliver solutions that strengthen mission communications across distributed platforms and networks.
- Explore advanced technology areas such as 5G systems engineering to enhance naval capabilities.
- Conduct analyses using engineering tools like SolidWorks to validate designs.
- Document technical drawings using AutoCAD for accurate manufacturing and installation.
- Provide technical input to MBSE digital models to support model-based systems engineering efforts.
- Design integration approaches for incorporating C4I systems into existing Navy programs of record.
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on the design, integration, testing, and delivery of C4I systems for U.S. Navy afloat and ashore environments.
- Experience testing and troubleshooting electronic, electrical, and network devices from system level to component level in diverse conditions.
- Ability to prepare written materials, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and modifying electrical or mechanical technical drawings.
- Ability to travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations up to 25% of the time.
- Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Salary range: USD 77,500 - 176,000 per year
