Job Description

Oliveda International is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design, prototyping, and validation of wearable health devices and smart wearables onsite in Culver City, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design and integration of smart wearable health devices, covering analog and mixed-signal circuits, sensor systems, and low-power architectures.
  • Develop prototypes and iterate on wearable devices to improve user experience and deliver accurate, reliable health metrics.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and UX teams to translate cross‑disciplinary ideas into functional hardware.
  • Define and execute validation and calibration protocols for sensors and electrical subsystems.
  • Perform benchtop and on‑body testing to ensure high performance across diverse conditions and users.
  • Identify issues, troubleshoot, and optimize hardware for accuracy, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to select, integrate, and validate sensors and components.
  • Support scale‑up from prototype to production, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Stay current with emerging wearable technologies and trends in health, wellness, and consumer devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PhD a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for wearable devices, health sensors, or consumer IoT hardware.
  • Deep understanding of analog/mixed‑signal circuits, PCB design, low‑power systems, signal acquisition, and sensor integration.
  • Experience with testing, validation, and debugging of wearable electronics.
  • Proficiency with embedded systems, firmware collaboration, and data acquisition tools (C/C++, Python, MATLAB).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to thrive in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
  • Passion for health, wellness, beauty tech, and delivering transformative user experiences.
