Electrical Engineer IV

CRB seeks an Electrical Engineer IV to lead the design and implementation of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems on complex building and industrial projects from Atlanta, GA, with remote-work options.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across all project phases (programming, design development, construction documentation, and construction support) for complex building and industrial initiatives
• Design and coordinate low- and medium-voltage distribution systems, including switchgear, panelboards, transformers, feeders, grounding, and protective devices
• Perform advanced power system analyses such as load studies, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and arc flash evaluations
• Develop construction drawings and specifications that are fully code-compliant and ready for installation
• Identify and resolve complex existing conditions through site visits and field surveys
• Direct and coordinate the work of electrical engineers and designers across experience levels
• Collaborate with project managers on scope definition, scheduling, staffing, and electrical discipline budgets
• Work with architectural, mechanical, structural, process, and construction teams to deliver integrated electrical designs
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, utilities, and equipment manufacturers to support the design and installation of electrical systems
• Provide technical leadership during construction, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, site observations, and punch-list development
• Perform thorough quality reviews of electrical calculations, drawings, and documents to ensure accuracy and overall project quality
• Mentor junior and mid-level electrical engineers and designers
• Foster best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the electrical team

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally within a consulting or design firm environment
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Proven track record leading and delivering projects involving building or industrial power systems and voltage-based electrical infrastructure
