Job Description

At Kinequip, Inc., an Electrical Engineer with PCB design and embedded systems experience is invited to help bring lighting and control products from concept to production on site in San Jose. This role sits at the crossroads of design and manufacturing, offering the chance to influence the direction of innovative products while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create electrical systems and components for a range of applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are met.
  • Perform testing and validation to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Transition designs to production by coordinating with vendors, managing BOMs, and preparing documentation.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for lighting and control products.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years in an electrical design role.
  • Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout; Altium is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
