Job Description

Noramtec Consultants Americas is seeking an Electrical Systems Integration Engineer to develop, certify, improve, and maintain electrical power generation, distribution, and lighting architectures for aircraft as part of the Functional Engineering Team. The role is based in Wichita, KS with a hybrid work arrangement, supporting both production and in-service airplanes across current and future programs.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical improvements and developments for existing and future airplane programs, optimizing architectures and incorporating new technologies.
  • Prepare and review engineering documents related to electrical system changes on production and in-service aircraft.
  • Propose, elaborate, and test novel approaches to optimize business airplanes in areas such as emissions reduction, costs, weight, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to trade studies associated with new technology introduction and integration on aircraft.
  • Learn and contribute to the Electrical Knowledge Domain to capture lessons learned and best industry practices (product and process).
  • Manage interfaces with internal and external partners and suppliers for technical aspects.
  • Represent the Electrical discipline in collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years in electrical system integration or related experience.
  • Knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc., and familiarity with airworthiness regulations and advisory materials from TCCA, FAA, and EASA pertaining to Electrical.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and interact with other functional areas, including airworthiness, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to achieve common goals.
  • Strong oral and technical writing skills. French is an asset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to achieve assigned goals.
  • Motivated to learn and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
