Engineer I EDP Program

ONEOK offers an Engineer I EDP that centers on growth through a structured three-year rotation, designed to sharpen risk reduction, safety, and compliance expertise. Participants spend 18 months in Pipeline Risk Analysis and 18 months in Facility Risk Analysis, gaining hands-on field experience alongside technical and professional development, project management exposure, leadership networking, mentorship, and formal training opportunities. This onsite program is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a competitive salary range of $77,000 to $115,000 per year. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk analyses on ONEOK pipelines and facilities to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation opportunities.
• Combine data from multiple programs to deliver an integrated view of risk reduction progress.
• Lead risk reduction meetings with program owners and subject matter experts.
• Recommend preventative and mitigative measures and projects to reduce identified risk for pipelines and facilities.
• Engage in engineering and project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of pipelines and facilities.
• Conduct economic analyses and help determine project scope.
• Prepare bid proposals and manage contracting processes.
• Develop and manage AFE and cost controls.
• Specify materials and equipment, and assist with selection.
• Plan and schedule construction activities.
• Provide technical and engineering assistance on items such as pre-project integrity reviews, metallurgical cutouts, and emergent EFRD analysis.
• Support the implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Pursue training opportunities including technical courses, industry documents and procedures, operations shadowing, and vendor site tours.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of pipelines and hydrocarbon processing, including related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other related reports.
• Ability to manage and prioritize assignments with competing deadlines.
• Ability to apply mathematical methods, including algebra and statistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact, negotiate, and convey technical information clearly.
• Proficiency with office tools and equipment.
