Entry-Level Electrical Controls Engineer

Kubica Corp is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Controls Engineer in Cedar Falls, IA to design control systems, program PLCs and machine interfaces, integrate conveyor systems, and perform onsite commissioning as part of a systems integration team.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems that meet and exceed client expectations
• Develop electrical schematics
• Program PLC controllers and machine interfaces
• Assist in conveyor system integration
• Conduct onsite system commissioning
• Own the solution and advocate for the best control approach to deliver it to customers
• Help customers’ vision become a reality while delivering value and satisfaction

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree (no other degrees will be considered)
• 0-2 years of experience in the electrical/controls engineering field
• Experience with various types of conveyors and their programming
• Interest in working as a Controls Engineer in an industrial setting
• Internship or Co-Op experience utilizing PLC and HMI programming, particularly with Allen Bradley systems
• Exposure to electrical schematic design
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, able to speak and write clearly for all stakeholders
• Ability to work remotely in an independent and team-oriented environment; must be able to travel to client sites
• Critical thinking and analytical abilities
• Valid driver's license required
