Job Description

Integration Innovation, Inc. (i3) is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer with 0 to 3 years of professional experience to help build command and control (C2) and autonomy capabilities for uncrewed platforms, including a web-based UI used to task UxS platforms. The work supports a DoD customer through Agile small, incremental iterations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an Agile software development team delivering value to a DoD customer in small, incremental iterations.
  • Follow pre-defined software safety practices to develop flight critical software, including software architecture reviews, documentation updates, and comprehensive testing of new capabilities.
  • Create software designs using best practices and object-oriented methodologies.
  • Develop automated unit and integration level tests.
  • Use good configuration management practices and support proper code maintenance, merging, and configuration management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor of Science degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience required.
  • Ability to develop software designs using best practices and object-oriented methodologies.
  • Ability to develop automated unit and integration level tests.
  • Routine collaboration with team members in developing system capabilities.
  • Familiarity with configuration management practices, including code maintenance, merging, and configuration management.
  • Team-oriented approach with interest in learning and adaptation.
  • Location: in office, Huntsville, AL (onsite).
  • CONUS travel: less than 10%.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Physical Demands and Work Schedule

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; additional hours may be required occasionally. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
