Junior Software Engineer – Robotics & Autonomous Systems

Join Marcurius Multi-Mission Solutions as a Junior Software Engineer focused on robotics and autonomy for maritime unmanned systems based in Clearwater, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain software components using Python, C++, or other relevant technologies
• Support software development and integration for unmanned and autonomous maritime systems
• Work with software, hardware, and systems engineers to resolve technical challenges
• Contribute to embedded software integration across microcontrollers, sensors, and onboard systems
• Assist with development activities related to robotics, autonomy, and machine learning
• Help build and support frontend interfaces, databases, and supporting software tools as needed
• Participate in hardware/software integration, prototype development, and system testing
• Troubleshoot software issues, investigate root causes, and implement improvements
• Maintain clear code documentation and follow established development and version control practices
• Own assigned development tasks while supporting broader engineering projects

Required Qualifications

• Strong programming fundamentals with practical experience in Python or C++
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
• Proven ability to write, debug, and troubleshoot software through academic, personal, or professional work
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with willingness to learn new technologies
• Interest in spanning software development, embedded systems, and hardware integration
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and independently manage assigned tasks
