Job Description

Join a safety‑forward, collaborative environment as a Foundation Services Field Engineer with Maine Drilling & Blasting. This on‑site role is based in Gardiner, ME or Auburn, NH with travel across New England. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the MDB safety culture by following all safety policies and practices.
  • Track project progress and verify field documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the Project Manager in preparing monthly progress submittals for client billing and project tracking.
  • Gain hands‑on experience on job sites, including loading testing of rock anchors, soil nails, tiebacks, and micropiles.
  • Review and promptly process load test data for customer submittals.
  • Assist operations by monitoring scopes of work, identifying scope changes, and preparing change order documents.
  • Prepare and submit preconstruction submittals.
  • Prepare grab‑and‑go materials prior to project kickoff.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to align field activities.
  • Perform frequent site visits to ensure work meets project plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or direct industry equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of priority, urgency and commitment to deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Frequent travel across the operating region (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey); overnight stays may be required.
  • Willingness to work the hours required to support field operations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.
