Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform on site installation, relocation start ups, and comprehensive maintenance for Exentec’s complex chemical and gas delivery systems at customer sites.
• Analyze problems, conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot to the component level, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and system interruptions.
• Stay up to date with semiconductor market trends and Exentec technologies through ongoing learning, training, and certification.
• Assist with complex field modifications and updates, keeping records and reports to coordinate activities between Exentec and customers.
• Act as a subject matter expert, representing Exentec and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot issues and develop customer response action plans to address needs.
• Engage transparently with customers about opportunities and challenges to build trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring to more junior engineers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 3+ years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time (required), with potential for up to 80% or more as needed.
• Ability to travel, start up, and service chemical and gas delivery equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills applicable to mechanical and or electrical equipment.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Job Details

• Location: Boise, ID (onsite); relocation to Nampa, ID before starting work required; Nampa, ID preferred.
• Pay: 25.00 - 30.00 USD per hour
• Travel: 75% (Required)
• Work location: On the road
