Job Description
Benefits and culture: This onsite General Engineer role supports NOAA's National Weather Service Facilities Division across multiple locations, including Silver Spring, MD; Fort Worth, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; and Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for assigned programs and projects, covering real property procurement, oversight of new leases, design, construction, and office relocations, with coordination to ensure timely execution.
- Lead or support the Facility Condition Assessment and Deferred Maintenance programs, including planning, budgeting, and construction administration for facility infrastructure; assist with the management or acquisition of architectural, engineering, and other essential support services.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and National Weather Service management on project progress, issues and resolutions, and any impacts on costs and schedules.
- Develop technical requirements for contractual support for design, system replacement, installation, construction, and office relocation contracts, ranging from smaller engagements to major projects valued at $3M or more.

Education and credentials
- Engineering bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
