Job Description
MS Companies is seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer for a high voltage, heavy manufacturing environment in Carrollton, GA, with a salary of USD 110,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in PLC-based machine control systems
- Create and adjust PLC and HMI programs to boost efficiency, reliability, and product quality
- Own the full electrical control system design lifecycle, including panel layout, field wiring, and schematics
- Contribute to commissioning activities and upgrades of new or existing automation systems
- Recommend and implement improvements to maximize production uptime, safety, and quality
- Collaborate with operators, maintenance technicians, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a controls, power, or automation focus
- At least 3 years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Automation Engineer in a manufacturing setting
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PLC-based machine control systems
- Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting proficiency
- AutoCAD Electrical experience, including creation of electrical schematics and control drawings
- Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, industrial power distribution, MCCs, and high-voltage systems
- Experience working on the plant floor in live production environments

Physical and Environment Requirements
