Jr Controls Engineer

SynerTech Automation LLC is hiring a Jr Controls Engineer in Ogden, UT to design, build, and program PLC/HMI and robotic automation control systems for customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug PLC/HMI programs for customer automation systems, including building from scratch or modifying existing code
• Use PLC/HMI expertise to troubleshoot issues, support development of new products and processes
• Create panel drawings and electrical schematics for controls systems
• Set up and program Kawasaki and Doosan robot systems
• Participate in risk assessments and help ensure automation systems are safe for customers
• Work with project teams to help meet team objectives and support successful project completion
• Design and program controls for mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Maintain project timelines and stay on schedule to finish work on time

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience
• Multiple successful implementations of solving non-standard automation challenges
• Expertise with PLC technologies
• Proficiency in Ladder Logic
• Knowledge of PLC system architecture, design, and commissioning
• Advanced motion control PLC programming knowledge
• Familiar with PID feedback control
• Structured text and Function Block Diagram programming proficiency is a plus
• Robotic system development experience
• Expertise with electrical schematics (using and creating)
• Ability to do hands-on fabrication support as needed (wiring, using machine shop tools, basic mechanical work)
• Pneumatic controls expertise is preferred
• Optimistic problem solver; cheerful outlook with integrity and honesty
• Travel: up to 30% WILL be required and 25% is mandatory

Schedule

Salary: USD 65,000 - 75,000 per yearly
