Junior Data Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools.
• Collaborate with data engineering on dimensional models and data warehousing concepts.
• Write SQL queries in Oracle and Databricks to support reporting needs.
• Gather and refine requirements with business analysts to translate needs into analytics deliverables.
• Monitor report performance and data quality to ensure timely, accurate insights.
• Gain exposure to AWS services for cloud-based reporting solutions.

Requirements

• Must possess DoD Top Secret, DHS EOD, CBP Full BI, or IT-I security clearance or have a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• Basic federal clearance requirements: U.S. citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field.
• 1 year minimum (up to 3 years, with a maximum of 5 years) of hands-on SQL programming experience.
• 1 year minimum (up to 3 years, with a maximum of 5 years) of experience with at least one major BI platform (PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik).
• Experience performing data analysis and interpreting results.
• Conceptual understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling, with the ability to articulate star versus snowflake schemas and use cases.
• High level of self-motivation, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to work in a distributed team environment.
• Occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with coworkers and customers; may involve delivering presentations.
