Junior Software Engineer (AFC Device SW), bilingual Korean

The Junior Software Engineer for AFC Device Software designs, develops, and tests software for Automatic Fare Collection devices, including deployment and configuration of updated software, and on-site or remote testing and troubleshooting based on system logs and data analysis. The position is based in Vienna, VA with remote work options and requires bilingual Korean language capability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing, coding, testing, and deploying software.
• Provide technical support during AFC device installation, both on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, on-site or remotely.
• Conduct basic testing and validation to ensure software performance and reliability, on-site and remote.
• Contribute to preparing and updating technical documentation.
• Support project-related tasks and deliverables as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Ability to learn and apply programming concepts effectively.
• Experience with programming languages: C, C#, Python.
• Experience with IDEs: Visual Studio, Visual Code.
• Experience with development environments: Windows OS, STM32.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting mindset.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Compensation

Salary: USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year
