Build the software foundation that powers Pixel devices. On Google’s Pixel Bootloader team, you will collaborate on a bootloader software stack for Pixel phones and tablets, helping take key firmware features from planning through bring-up and into in-market systems. This onsite role in Mountain View, CA pairs hands-on embedded development with deep debugging across software, firmware, and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver bootloader and firmware features using C and Rust.
- Contribute to bringing up new Pixel devices across the full development cycle, including pre-silicon emulation, SoC development boards, prototypes, mass production, and in-market
- Drive software planning, design, and implementation across core platform areas such as interconnect, boot, reset, memory, high speed IO, low speed IO, interrupt controllers, and security.
- Debug complex issues involving multi-faceted interactions across silicon, hardware, firmware, software, and the environment.
- Work across multiple code bases, including C, Rust, and Python.
