Job Description

PG LifeLink is hiring a LabLink Product Engineer (Electrical Applications Engineer) to own application and product engineering for the LabLink product line, from early customer needs through production release. This onsite role in the Greater Cincinnati area pairs hands-on electrical application work with technical documentation, compliance coordination, and cross-functional collaboration across design, production, and purchasing.

Location: Erlanger, KY (onsite). Schedule: standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Compensation: $86,190 to $116,610 annually, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer plans, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to determine appropriate LabLink product configurations, ensuring solutions meet applicable NEC and UL/ETL requirements.
  • Create approval drawings, assembly details, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; process ECOs and maintain documentation aligned with ISO-style quality standards.
  • Build and maintain part numbers, BOMs, and production work orders in the company ERP system, completing technical review before releasing orders to the production floor.
  • Act as the technical liaison with UL/ETL listing agencies for product compliance and listing maintenance.
  • Partner with production and purchasing teams to resolve manufacturing questions and identify opportunities to reduce cost, simplify production, or improve reliability.
  • Support new product development and contribute to continuous improvement across the LabLink line.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (or closely related discipline) required. Bachelor’s degree in EE or EET strongly preferred.
  • Experience: at least 3 years in a technical engineering role in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to low-voltage power distribution systems and related components such as wire management, power strips, PDUs, power pedestals, track busway, or modular wiring.
  • Tools: proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent 2D CAD). Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD experience is a plus.
  • Standards: working knowledge of the NEC and UL/ETL listing requirements; laboratory electrical standards experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and architectural plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort working directly with customers, design professionals, and internal production teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Experience with ERP systems, document control platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
