Job Description
Fiberutilities Group (FG) is hiring a Lead Data Engineer for a hybrid role in Cedar Rapids, IA, owning the design and evolution of the company’s data integration ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and design for FG data integrations
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load external data into Azure SQL
- Define and enforce data modeling standards, including schemas and data contracts for external data domains
- Implement and maintain data quality frameworks
- Use ML and advanced methods to improve data cleansing, matching, and enrichment
- Establish engineering best practices, including coding standards and review processes for data engineering work
Requirements
- 7+ years of data architecture and engineering experience
- Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in an Azure-centric environment
- 2+ years of senior or leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
