Manufacturing Engineer - Heavy Equipment

This Manufacturing Engineer role supports a heavy mobile equipment manufacturing environment in Milwaukee, WI, bridging design engineering needs with practical execution on the production floor. The position focuses on process development, change management, quality and cost improvements, and throughput performance while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, support, and lead the introduction of new products to the manufacturing floor, including integration into existing production lines with attention to line balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Develop Operation Method Standards and apply Lean concepts and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste across manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot production line problems and lead initiatives that mitigate risk, help maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs.
• Lead design activities within the manufacturing process, including line and cell layout, tooling, and part flow; support capital equipment justification and advance safety and ergonomic practices.

Required Qualifications

• Education: BS in Engineering.
• Experience: 1 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering; candidates with under 3 years of experience should have a 3.0+ GPA.
• Computer skills: Proficient with CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Creo or Pro-E CAD software.
• Experience with production line layout.

Compensation and Schedule

Compensation: $75,000 to $95,000 per year, based on experience, plus bonus eligibility.

Schedule: Full-time. A flexible 4-day compressed schedule is available with 9-hour days Monday through Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. This role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
