Mechanical Engineer – Data Center Cooling

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal analyses and simulations to assess system performance across diverse operating conditions and environments.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and manufacturing to define project requirements and deliver practical cooling solutions.
• Assist in designing and developing chiller systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimization.
• Support product testing and validation activities, analyze results, and implement design improvements.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in thermal systems engineering.
• Design components, assemblies, and packaging, and use data management systems to track and report progress of assignments.
• Verify drawing content for accuracy and completeness while adhering to industry design standards.
• Complete design tasks using PLM workflows.
• Maintain quality and accuracy of work and meet hard schedule deliverables.
• Present designs in group settings and run meetings.
• Develop consensus in cross-functional settings.
• Manage and maintain project data with appropriate tools.

Requirements

• HVAC: 3 years of experience required.
• Must be able to commute to 28208 in Charlotte, NC.
• Relocation to Charlotte, NC 28208 required before start.
