PM Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The Rooms/Building Maintenance Engineer role supports ongoing hotel operations by maintaining machines, mechanical systems, and the hotel structure in good repair. The position includes preventive maintenance, guest-area upkeep, and timely response to issues across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all work order policies and procedures.
- Communicate parts and material needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Provide updates to the supervisor on job and project status.
- Maintain adequate parts, materials, and supplies on the supply cart.
- Maintain and repair equipment across laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, convention areas, and public spaces.
- Repair refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical fixtures in guestrooms, kitchen, and laundry to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Monitor life safety systems and respond to alerts as necessary.
- Handle preventive maintenance and cosmetic repairs, including carpet, wall coverings, furniture, painted surfaces, and light bulb replacements.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Clean and treat all food and beverage floor drains with enzymes weekly.
- Support additional supervisor-assigned duties, including cross training.
- Maintain chemical levels in automatic mechanical systems.
- Maintain electrical carts.
- Repair irrigation or sprinkler systems.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Fill key list orders.
- Make nametags and signs.
- Remove and install water heaters.
- Respond promptly to complaints or problems from guests and other departments.
- Keep tools and maintenance equipment clean and secure.
- Complete preventive maintenance duties according to schedule.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Minimum 2 years of experience (experience 2-5 years preferred) in commercial or institutional maintenance environments.
- HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills.
- Light carpentry skills and knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
- Pool operation certification is preferred.
- Meet minimum age requirements of the jurisdiction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with public and other employees.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
- Preventive maintenance background is preferred.
- No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

- Maintenance: Complete repairs and assigned maintenance duties satisfactorily and on time; respond to guest and department issues promptly; keep tools and equipment clean and secure; complete preventive maintenance on schedule.
PM Schedule
- Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm
- Availability: Full availability required; weekends and holidays are required.

- Pay: USD 20 to 22 per hourly
