Process Engineer II

Tremco CPG Inc. offers a Process Engineer II role based onsite in Ashland, OH, with a salary of $74,000 per year. You will contribute to a facility-focused engineering function centered on safety, product quality, and process improvement, while helping strengthen a LEAN culture through practical work on the floor.

What you’ll do

• Partner with shift supervisors to take on a facility leadership role.
• Resolve and communicate safety issues, including proactive monitoring and remediation.
• Execute scheduled PHA’s and JSA’s.
• Develop and execute standard work activities to support consistent, effective operations.
• Improve productivity by eliminating non-value-added activities and applying engineering principles to eliminate waste.
• Work to maximize equipment efficiency and quality of output.
• Serve as a member of the facility QIC.
• Support customer satisfaction by ensuring root cause identification and prevention of future customer complaints.
• Assist in operator training with emphasis on quality-critical product specifications and process parameters.
• Bring significant experience in equipment troubleshooting and process design.
• Manage major process equipment projects (greater than $750k) on time and within budget, and lead and/or supervise others as needed.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited university).
• 2 years of related experience and/or training (two to four years related experience and/or training).
• Experience in both practical Process Engineering and Project Management.
• Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
• Proficiency in workflow processes, value stream efficiency, and systems thinking.
• Understanding of process variance and its effects on Quality.
• Knowledge of applied statistics and the ability to perform problem analysis using problem-solving methodology.
• Knowledge of the Project Management software being used.
