Project Engineer
Job Description
Project Engineer role to oversee storage tank projects from design conception through construction completion, ensuring engineering specs, safety protocols, and client requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Review Customer Technical Specifications and Drawings and translate them into designs based on customer-supplied plans, using codes such as ASME Section VIII, API, AWWA, NFPA, ASIC, and national and international Building Codes.
- Generate detailed shop fabrication and field erection cost estimates.
- Prepare Subcontractor Request for Quotation packages.
- Review Customer Terms and Conditions.
- Write and issue technical and commercial proposals to customers.
- Coordinate intra-company project activities including drafting, purchasing, shop fabrication, and field erection as part of project management.
- Manage subcontracting, contract changes, and ongoing customer service and communications during each project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project engineering experience in process engineering, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industrial construction or related fields.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
