Quality Engineer/Data Analyst
Job Description
ESTIS Management LLC seeks a Quality Engineer/Data Analyst to support and sustain its fleet of compressor packages from an on-site location in Midland, Texas. This role emphasizes quality control, SOP development, process improvement, and data reporting to strengthen reliability and alignment with industry standards across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Encourage and promote a strong safety culture while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Lead the development, validation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of SOPs and work instructions in collaboration with the team.
- Measure work performance, workflow efficiency, and operator techniques to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to establish maintenance practices, diagnose issues, optimize processes, and train technicians.
- Support Root Cause Failure Analyses and drive corrective actions.
- Create and manage documentation and reports, including NDE and inspection procedures to remain compliant with industry, regulatory, safety, environmental, and customer standards.
- Support development of control systems and process improvements aimed at reducing CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality).
- Recommend new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards.
- Translate complex ideas and data into presentations and reports for internal and external distribution.
- Perform audits of established processes to ensure adherence to approved SOPs and terms.
- Work with vendors to address concerns and develop solutions when needed.
- Collect and record results from sampling and testing to maintain product quality records.
- Inspect products at job sites to substantiate customer claims of defects.
- Promote a collaborative and continuous improvement culture.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules, maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical quality experience.
- Knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and tools.
- Proficiency with relevant software and systems.
- Knowledge of reciprocating gas compressors is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of five years of quality experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred; an associate degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
- Experience in creating and establishing strategic quality processes and reporting quality metrics.
- Experience with New Product Introduction.
