Job Description

Alpine Intel is seeking a Regional Electrical Engineer to lead investigations and provide consulting, restoration, and salvage services for insurance losses involving technical equipment. This full-time, onsite role in Cincinnati, Ohio focuses on delivering final client reports while managing projects and cultivating strong client relationships. A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience are required, with a salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 110,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate investigations of commercial and industrial systems.
  • Oversee project organization and execution, upholding high standards of professionalism, quality, and integrity.
  • Apply technical expertise for independent and collaborative analyses, guiding support staff, and ensuring findings are documented and reported to the client.
  • Prepare formal deliverables that document conclusions and recommendations.
  • Manage project timelines, documentation, budget planning and adherence, and overall time management.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through verbal and written communication, delivering timely updates and meeting expectations.
  • Coordinate vendors and subcontractors needed to complete the project.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to secure necessary materials and services.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting and evaluation to determine repair, refurbish, or replacement needs.
  • Identify root causes of equipment damage, including water damage, lightning, power surges, and related factors.
  • Handle claims involving a broad range of electronic equipment, from computer networks and medical technology to industrial machinery, telecommunications infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment.
  • May be assigned additional tasks or projects at management discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • 1–3 years of experience evaluating failures in commercial or industrial settings is required.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Approximately 20% travel with occasional overnight stays; travel may increase with claim volume.
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is beneficial.
  • Proficient technical writing and documentation abilities.
  • Curious mindset and an inquisitive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and varied environmental conditions.
  • Customer-service oriented attitude.
  • Accountability and professionalism; reliable follow-through on commitments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently and in collaborative team settings.
