Job Description

RF-Lambda USA seeks a junior RF and microwave engineer to support design and production in the San Diego area, focusing on testing and verification of RF/microwave modules using standard lab equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret design drawings, schematics, and related documents provided by the design engineer.
  • Test amplifiers, switches, digital attenuators, and phase shifters using a network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and power meter.
  • Measure key RF parameters such as P1dB, P2dB, Psat, Noise Figure, and Phase Noise.
  • Tune and validate power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, RF switches, and T/R modules, identifying critical performance parameters.
  • Prepare and maintain tools and materials for module implementation, ensuring equipment remains in good working condition.
  • Follow process instructions to implement microwave modules, including soldering, die placement, wire bonding, cleaning, and shielding.
  • Test modules to verify performance and troubleshoot failures using appropriate microwave test instruments.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (Green Card) is required.
  • Self motivated with the ability to adapt to a fast paced production environment.
  • Experience with micro-scale implementation is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with RF and Microwave testing, soldering, and wire bonding.
  • Experience running a laboratory and troubleshooting RF and DC circuitry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

Compensation

Salary: USD 75,000 - 90,000 per year
