Compensation
Salary range: USD 105,000 to 290,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual RF system design and analyses, including simulation, link analysis, hardware trade studies, and cost assessments for satellite communications across space and ground segments.
- Collaborate with mission and spacecraft systems engineers, peer subsystem engineers, and project management throughout the mission lifecycle from concept to launch, covering requirements, development phases, technical reviews, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Provide technical leadership across the RF systems development lifecycle, guiding system concepts, trade studies, prototypes, flight development, integration, and testing.
- Support sponsor engagement and assist project and program management in related activities.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in satellite RF communications and RF systems design, development, simulation (MATLAB, SystemVue, or equivalent), and operations.
- Experience with RF hardware design and/or testing.
- Willing to accommodate flexible hours for spacecraft level testing and travel infrequently to customer or sponsor locations as well as spacecraft integration and test sites.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance by start date, with potential to obtain TS/SCI+ poly clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.
