Responsibilities
- Design fire alarm systems and perform related calculations
- Model fire and smoke scenarios and develop smoke control rational analyses
- Design water-based or special hazard fire protection systems
- Conduct hydraulic and water supply calculations
- Evaluate existing building fire protection and alarm systems
- Commission fire alarm and fire protection systems
- Perform special inspections and building code analyses
- Prepare due diligence reports
- Engage with clients and coordinate across multiple disciplines
- Select and evaluate products and develop project specifications
- Provide exemplary service to team members and clients
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of experience in fire protection system consulting and design
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards and I-Codes
- Specialization in code consulting, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and other water-based systems design
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Previous project management or design lead experience
- Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings, and witness testing
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design programs including Revit, Autosprink for Revit, and AutoCAD
