Senior Mechanical Design Engineer I (MEP)

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer I (MEP) in Honolulu leads mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design efforts across multiple projects, coordinating planning, design execution, QA, and team leadership in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and design: Collaborate with architects, owners, and other engineers to define project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Project planning and design: Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify potential risks and constraints.
• Project planning and design: Assist in the design of projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Project Implementation and Management: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project milestones on time.

• Quality Assurance and Documentation: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure project specifications are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, preferably mechanical engineering or building services.
• 8+ years of proven experience in MEP design consulting in Hawaii.
• Advanced knowledge of building industry codes and standards.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
