Senior Mechanical Design Engineer I (MEP)
Job Description
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer I (MEP) in Honolulu leads mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design efforts across multiple projects, coordinating planning, design execution, QA, and team leadership in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Project planning and design: Collaborate with architects, owners, and other engineers to define project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Project planning and design: Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify potential risks and constraints.
- Project planning and design: Assist in the design of projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Project Implementation and Management: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project milestones on time.

- Project Implementation and Management: Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction activities align with plans and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure project specifications are met.

- Quality Assurance and Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documents, including progress reports and meeting notes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, preferably mechanical engineering or building services.
- 8+ years of proven experience in MEP design consulting in Hawaii.
- Advanced knowledge of building industry codes and standards.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
