Senior Municipal Engineer

Senior Municipal Engineer position at Spotts, Stevens and McCoy in Reading, PA, with a hybrid work arrangement, focused on leading municipal stormwater and traffic projects and expanding the municipal practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of stormwater management and traffic engineering projects.
• Oversee municipal road improvement programs from bidding through construction.
• Represent municipal clients in communications and meetings.
• Coordinate the Land Development Plan review process with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Strengthen the municipal practice by nurturing existing relationships and developing new business opportunities.

Requirements

• 15 to 20 years of municipal engineering experience, including at least 5 years as the primary client representative.
• Background in stormwater management and traffic/transportation engineering.
• Experience managing municipal road improvement projects, reviewing development plans, and attending public meetings.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in Pennsylvania; additional registrations in Delaware or New York are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present technical information to large audiences at municipal meetings.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time while managing budgets and resources to meet client needs; able to multi-task across diverse assignments within deadlines.
• Ability to establish, maintain, and nurture exceptional relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and expanding existing client relationships.
