Job Description

Senior Municipal Engineer opportunity in Reading, PA (hybrid) responsible for leading design and management of municipal stormwater, traffic/transportation and road improvement projects, representing municipal clients, coordinating Land Development Plan reviews, and contributing to the firm's municipal business line.

Responsibilities

Lead design and management of stormwater management and traffic/transportation initiatives.
Coordinate municipal road improvement projects through bid and construction phases.
Represent municipal clients in communications, meetings, and presentations.
Oversee the Land Development Plan review process in collaboration with stakeholders.
Strengthen and grow the firm’s municipal practice by maintaining relationships and pursuing new opportunities.

Requirements

15 – 20 years of experience in municipal engineering, with at least 5 years as a primary representative.
Background in stormwater management and traffic/transportation disciplines.
Experience managing municipal road improvement projects; reviewing development plans; and attending public meetings.
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineering License (PE) in Pennsylvania; other state registrations (especially DE and NY) are a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present technical information to large groups at municipal meetings.
Proven track record in delivering projects on schedule while managing budgets and resources; ability to multi-task across diverse assignments within deadlines.
Capability to establish, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in developing new business and enriching existing client relationships.
