Senior Project Engineer – Military GPS Hardware Development
Job Description
Lead hardware engineering project management for Modernized M-Code GPS receiver development in a hybrid role based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain hardware development project plans covering schedule, cost, and risk management
- Define project scope and establish measurable objectives
- Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers and program teams
- Develop and maintain key planning artifacts including Basis of Estimates (BOE) and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Build a resource requirements matrix to support execution planning
- Produce and manage program status reporting and briefings for inter and external stakeholders
- Support contract efforts with vendors and suppliers through technical guidance
- Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards across the full project lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline
- Engineering project management experience
- Hands-on hardware development experience, including schematics, PCB layout, and mechanical design
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within scope, budget, and timeline
- Strong analytical skills plus written and verbal communication ability
- Experience executing projects through the full development lifecycle
- Ability to obtain a DoW Secret clearance
- Ability to work on-site in Cedar Rapids, IA
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- PMP® certification or an equivalent project-management credential
- Direct experience with GPS/M-Code systems
- Hardware engineering experience supporting product development
- 5+ years of engineering project-management experience across a full product lifecycle
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary hardware teams (leadership of 5+ engineers)

Pay Information
- Full-Time Salary Range: $88,189 - $149,922 per year
