Senior Satellite Engineer - Avionics and Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Assess and respond to RFIs and RFPs from satellite component vendors
- Develop Flatsat and data-chain risk-reduction testbeds for multiple systems
- Integrate and test flight payload systems that create, encrypt, compress, modify, and downlink high data rate mission products to Vantor ground systems
- Generate Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and approve their requirements
- Ensure system compliance to electrical, C&DH, avionics, and software requirements
- Review vendor-submitted processes, design reviews, analysis packages, and test reports
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, physics, or a related field
- 3 to 7 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering
- Experience setting up flatsat and risk-reduction test beds for space systems
- Experience designing and qualifying avionics systems for low-earth orbit environments, with emphasis on radiation, thermal, and EMI/EMC considerations
- Background in electrical engineering, circuit design, and analysis, including aerospace requirements for bounding, grounding, charging, shielding, and signal integrity
- End-to-end aerospace program experience, including ConOps and architecture development, writing requirements, design reviews, assembly integration and test, verification and validation, and on-orbit operations

Pay Transparency
The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
