Senior Software Engineer

Planetary Talent is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (AI-Fluent) to join a HealthTech AI startup in Omaha. The role centers on owning major product initiatives, delivering full-stack features for healthcare practices, and weaving AI into the development workflow to accelerate delivery and impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead key product features from concept through production deployment
• Architect and implement end-to-end functionality used by healthcare providers
• Build integrations with EMRs, APIs, and document ingestion pipelines
• Develop systems that process medical documentation and structured patient data
• Leverage AI tools in the development process to boost velocity and efficiency
• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the platform
• Collaborate with leadership and customers to translate real product needs into deliverables

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven ability to ship production software with independent ownership
• Strong product sense and the ability to solve ambiguous problems
• Thrives in small startup teams with high ownership
• Regular use of AI tools within the development workflow
• Excellent communication skills, especially in remote environments
• Curiosity about customer problems and willingness to engage with users

Location

Omaha, NE (hybrid). Candidates in other locations will be considered if they can travel to Omaha frequently.

Salary

USD 180,000 per year.
