Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
Senior Software Engineer at Uline, onsite in Pleasant Prairie, WI, designs and implements scalable cloud-native microservices, guides a software team, and builds Java/Spring Boot applications on OpenShift with observability and GitOps-based CI/CD.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition to a resilient, always-on microservices architecture running on Red Hat OpenShift.
- Provide technical leadership to a Software Engineering team to ensure project support and strong performance.
- Develop and secure scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Improve observability and monitoring across thousands of microservices with DynaTrace, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack.
- Optimize deployment workflows via a GitOps based CI/CD pipeline using Tekton and Argo CD.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of Java development experience and strong SQL proficiency.
- At least 5 years of microservices development with the Java Spring framework.
- Minimum 2 years deploying and managing Java microservices on Kubernetes platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift.
- Uline does not sponsor H1-B visas.
