Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Integration Innovation, Inc. (i3) is seeking a Software Engineer with 7+ years of professional experience to develop command and control (C2) and autonomy software for uncrewed platforms, including planes, boats, vehicles, and submersibles. This is a new project using the latest .NET tools, best practices, and technology to support DoD customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Agile software development team delivering incremental value to a DoD customer.
• Follow pre-defined software safety practices to develop flight critical software, including software architecture reviews, documentation updates, and comprehensive testing of new capabilities.
• Create software designs using best practices and object-oriented methodologies.
• Develop automated unit and integration level tests.
• Apply strong configuration management practices and support proper code maintenance, merging, and configuration management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Required Skills

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor of Science degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Team player who is creative, adaptive, and excited to learn.
• Comfortable in a Linux environment.
• Experience leading small to mid-sized development teams.
• Familiar with good configuration management practices.
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance or higher.

Position Location: In office in Huntsville, AL.

CONUS Travel: Less than 10%.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Experience with C#/.NET, Python, Rust.
• Understanding of Agile software development, ideally Extreme Programming (XP).
• Familiarity with Git for software source control and configuration management.
• Experience with remote controlled boats, vehicles, or planes.
• Experience with single board computers (Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, etc.).
• Familiarity with UxS command and control message formats (for example, STANAG-4586, UCI, MAVLink).
• Experience developing next generation C2 architectures for the DoD.

Physical Demands

• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Schedule

• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with additional hours required on occasion.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.
