Job Description

Build manufacturing software that connects the shop floor to enterprise systems. In this onsite Long Beach role, you will help develop full-stack applications for Rocket Lab’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform and tools, including integrations with the ERP system. The work emphasizes relational databases, REST APIs, and a service-oriented architecture, with collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Technicians, and Operations.

What you’ll do spans the full stack and supports the MES ecosystem end to end. You will design and deliver software using best practices such as automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), code reviews, and Agile methodologies supported by tools like Jira. You will also use Git for version control, maintain thorough documentation, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure integrations function smoothly beyond your immediate technical scope.

Responsibilities

  • Work across the full stack, applying expertise across areas such as frontend or backend development, database administration, UI/UX design, product ownership, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Develop high-quality software using best practices, including automated testing, code reviews, Agile delivery, and project management in Jira
  • Use version control systems (for example, Git) to manage code, document work, and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Provide user support and help ensure seamless integration with related technical systems outside your core area of responsibility
  • Address complex engineering challenges by proposing solutions, sharing technical insights, and navigating tasks within your domain

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another technical discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering
  • Strong skills with Git for version control and collaboration
  • Proficiency in C# and TypeScript
  • Operational knowledge of Angular (or another front-end framework), .NET (or another backend framework), Git, SQL, and HTML/CSS
  • US citizenship is required due to program requirements

Compensation: USD 196,275 - 233,675 per year.

Location: Long Beach, CA (onsite).
