Senior Software Engineer – Go/Rust/C++ - AI Native Platform

Lansweeper’s Recognition & DataCore team is building an AI Cyber Asset Intelligence platform that discovers, identifies, classifies, and enriches assets across IT, OT, cloud, and IoT. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on production-quality distributed backends and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Role Focus

You will design and deliver scalable backend services and data pipelines that support asset recognition and enrichment at high volume. The position emphasizes distributed systems, high-throughput processing, and integrating AI and ML capabilities into product workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and data pipelines for asset discovery, recognition, and enrichment
• Address distributed systems challenges including concurrency, fault tolerance, and high-throughput processing
• Integrate AI and ML capabilities into product workflows
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical standards
• Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the daily engineering workflow
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Primary language experience in Go or Rust
• Proven experience building distributed systems at scale
• Strong experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of backend systems and data-intensive platforms
• Active engineering practice (GitHub, open-source, or personal projects)
• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability
• High ownership and accountability
• Ability to work effectively in AI-augmented environments
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, agents, subagents, and MCP-based workflows as a core part of the engineering workflow
• Comfort prompting, validating, and refining AI-generated code while maintaining production-quality standards

Team and Location

This role is based in Austin, TX with hybrid work. You will join an enthusiastic team of 40 engineers based in Spain, with a global engineering organization of 120 people.
