Join M&T Bank to support the development of the Tech 360 enterprise technology platform, delivering scalable solutions for technology reporting.

Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications using one or more programming languages
Build and maintain REST APIs, responsive web applications, ETL solutions, and scalable database systems aligned to business and technology objectives
Write advanced-level source code that is organized, clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable; apply data structures and algorithms to solve business problems
Lead cloud-native implementations using Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing and deployment
Define and implement API and integration strategies across enterprise platforms
Collaborate with architects and security teams to implement authorization and policy-driven access controls
Mentor engineers and help drive engineering excellence, resiliency, and operational best practices
Participate in Agile and/or SAFe delivery teams, contributing to planning, estimation, execution, and continuous improvement
Follow company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls per the Company’s Risk Appetite; identify risk-related issues for escalation
Promote a culture of belonging aligned with the M&T Bank brand
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and regulator-raised issues as applicable
Complete other related duties as assigned

Education/experience: Associate’s degree with minimum 5 years of systems analysis and/or application development work experience OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of systems analysis and/or application development work experience; in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years education and/or relevant work experience including at least 3 years of systems analysis and/or application development work experience
Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
Angular and/or modern front-end development experience
Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native development experience
CI/CD pipeline implementation experience
Advanced proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages
Strong understanding of software development best practices, application architecture, and SDLC methodologies

Proven ability to build executive-facing reporting, analytics, or dashboard solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights
Strong experience integrating data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, data warehouses, and cloud platforms
Strong data visualization and reporting experience using Power BI, Tableau, Chart.js, D3.js, or equivalent tools
Experience designing scalable application architectures with focus on performance, security, maintainability, and reliability
Proficiency with SQL and data modeling concepts, including dimensional models, KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks
Experience building centralized reporting platforms, operational intelligence systems, or executive decision-support applications
