Senior Traffic Engineer/PM
Job Description
Senior Traffic Engineer/PM at Lowe Engineers, onsite in Atlanta, GA, will lead the development of a traffic engineering practice and oversee the delivery of traffic signal design, traffic studies, and related projects across Georgia and the southeastern states. This role includes building a capable team to support project execution and client service.

Compensation
USD 130,000 to 170,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Lead traffic signal design and related plan development
- Develop traffic signal plans in accordance with City, County, and GDOT standards
- Create signing and pavement marking plans
- Develop ITS and communications plans
- Participate in design meetings and coordinate with clients
- Conduct traffic studies
- Prepare traffic impact studies to assess development impacts and identify mitigation for projects of varying sizes
- Prepare Development of Regional Impact studies
- Perform intersection and corridor studies
- Develop traffic calming studies in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and specifications
- Analyze crash data, produce crash diagrams, and provide mitigation recommendations
- Represent the firm at planning commission, zoning board of appeals, or city council meetings as needed
- Traffic signal operations analysis
- Assess and optimize traffic signal timing
- Demonstrate working knowledge of traffic software and systems

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or traffic engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of recent experience in traffic or transportation engineering
- Valid Professional Engineer license in the state of Georgia
- Georgia Driver's License
