Software Developer (Go / Backend Engineering) position at SPAN Enterprises, focused on backend services, RESTful APIs, and secure authentication.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Go (Golang) and Gin
- Build secure, scalable, and well-documented RESTful APIs
- Create and evolve database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT or OAuth
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices
- Create unit and integration tests to support application quality and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design activities
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective fixes
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang)
- Hands-on experience with the Gin framework
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development
- Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design
- Good understanding of Go concurrency concepts: goroutines, channels, and mutexes
- Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
