Job Description

Texas Instruments seeks a Software Engineer to join the Analog Power Products organization in Dallas, developing embedded firmware and software for TI's analog and mixed-signal ICs and collaborating with hardware design teams across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and debug embedded firmware for TI microcontrollers and processors within analog power product ecosystems
  • Create Software Development Kits (SDKs), device drivers, and sample applications for TI analog and mixed-signal devices
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define software interfaces and validate embedded systems
  • Develop and execute test plans for software validation across multiple hardware platforms
  • Contribute to software architecture discussions and participate in design reviews
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation including API references, user guides, and design notes
  • Engage in code reviews and uphold best practices for software quality and maintainability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of hands-on embedded software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++

  • C and C++ programming
  • ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
  • Real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN
  • Version control: Git
  • CI/CD pipelines and static analysis tools
  • Scripting: Python, Bash
  • Debugging tools: JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes
