Embedded Software Engineer II/III

Join Micro Control Company in Arden Hills, MN to build and support embedded software for high power burn-in systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead software design tasks to satisfy performance requirements for high power burn-in systems
• Debug complex software implementations
• Integrate software onto product hardware, including electronic test systems
• Develop and execute detailed software test plans aligned to specifications and quality goals
• Partner with senior staff on project implementation
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and the customer during design and testing phases
• Document and transfer developed solutions to the manufacturing team
• Provide software support for both new and released products for customers
• Interface with management on software requirements and project status

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong C++/C# skills using Microsoft Visual Studio, including object-oriented design, analysis, and software debugging
• Experience using a source control system such as Git or CVS
• Experience with project management and issue tracking tools such as JIRA or Confluence
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision while working independently or in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary: USD 97,476 - 140,756 per year
