Job Description
Software Engineer role at Invictus Technology LLC in Chicago, IL (onsite), focused on developing and maintaining a trading system with C++ on Linux and Windows.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to system development from trading algorithm development to high speed data analysis and the design of an intelligent execution engine.
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code across Linux and Windows environments.
- Take on additional opportunities as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in modern C++, including memory management, the STL, templates, and concurrency.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Comfort working in both Linux and Windows development environments.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
- Deep knowledge of C++ including modern features, memory management, the STL, templates, and concurrency.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Comfort in a Linux and Windows development environment.
NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)
- 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Database experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Experience with High Performance Networking (Sockets, UDP, RDMA, Multicast, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of multithreading and lock-free programming.
- Background in quantitative, scientific, or financial domains, or relevant personal/open-source projects.
