Software Engineer

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland to develop, enhance, and sustain information management software and services infrastructure supporting High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Role Overview

The Software Engineer will work on information management software and services infrastructure for HPC systems running in Linux. The role requires a security clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph and hands-on experience with modern software development and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and sustain information management software and services infrastructure for HPC systems in a Linux environment.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, including Ansible, for deployment orchestration
• Familiarity with SQL technologies, including PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, and containerd
• Experience using the Git source control system
• U.S. Citizenship Required

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $132,600 - $179,400 per year
• 401(k): 401K with company match
