Software Engineer
Job Description
Software Engineer to deliver secure, backend and infrastructure features end to end, including gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems.
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end, from conception through production, across gateway infrastructure, enterprise deployments, and agentic systems
- Build UI when a feature needs a better user interface
- Fix connectors when a connector breaks during a security review
- Shape the problem and make architecture, product, and UX decisions
- Harden enterprise paths to improve reliability and safety
- Design connectors that integrate with the platform
- Protect security-sensitive surfaces throughout the stack
- Review and correct generated code that may be quietly wrong
- Ship within hours by leveraging agents to write much of the code, while reviewing PRs
Requirements
- Track record shipping to real users via a product, internal tool, open-source project, or serious side project
- Ship, then iterate without waiting for specs or approvals
- Strong fundamentals with the ability to learn quickly
- Focus on product value and customer needs over technical purity
- Treat infrastructure as a first-class concern
- Think through blast radius, trust boundaries, and what happens when your code is on the path of every customer’s agents
- Ability to read unfamiliar code, reason from first principles, and explain tradeoffs
- Comfort across the stack (TypeScript, Python, CockroachDB), or ability to pick up new languages, protocols, and domains fast
- Excitement to build with agents, including learning when they help and when they hide problems
- Build with AI every day and want room to move without heavy process
Technologies
- TypeScript
- Python
- CockroachDB
- Claude
- Codex
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
- Unusual scope and ownership of features shipping to enterprise customers
- Build and deploy agents on the same platform the company sells
- Direct access to founders, customer context, and product direction, with mentorship as you grow
- Health benefits on a team that prioritizes family and health
Nice to Have
- Developer-facing products, protocol or gateway work, or infrastructure at scale
- Background in security, identity, or permission systems
- Contributions to open source, MCP servers, or agentic frameworks
- Design sensibility: engineers who care about design and designers who think about infrastructure
