Software Engineer

Software Test Engineer role at MKS (Power Solutions) focused on building automated test systems and supporting backend software development in a mix of office and lab work.

Responsibilities

• Develop desktop and web-based software for new and existing applications, utilities, and backend systems
• Design test systems using a systems-based approach to support automated testing
• Coordinate with test and design engineers to define requirements for test systems
• Review and analyze schematics to ensure test systems stress the important functional aspects of each product

Requirements

• Education: BS in an engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)
• Experience: 2 years of job-related work experience
• Ability to write clean, object-oriented code using a .NET-based language
• Ability to write clean, object-oriented code using Python
• Understanding of networking and current web development technologies (e.g., REST, WebSockets)
• Ability to work with an international team, including collaborators inside and outside the company
