Job Description

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer III to support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) on the FBM program. The role is onsite at Cape Canaveral, Florida, where you will work with an Agile team to modernize software, driving greater efficiency, security, automation, and scalability on a 9x80 schedule and under a DoD Top Secret clearance requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
  • Advance modernization efforts aimed at improved efficiency, security, automation and scalability.
  • Collaborate with an energetic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using Agile Development methodology.
  • Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to align on needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience working on project teams and development efforts
  • Experience with developing software requirements, CONOPs, and software design
  • Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
  • Issue tracking and troubleshooting experience

Security clearance

This position requires a government security clearance and US Citizenship for consideration.

  • Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
