Software Engineer - III

Software Engineer - III at MedSR (EPH Platform) designs, develops, and implements solutions for EPH systems, mentors junior engineers, and delivers scalable frontend focused features in large React based applications.

Responsibilities

• Build core product features in existing large scale React applications and new strategic initiatives to improve system and operational efficiency, monitor performance, and connect complex components.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements for proposed software solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions as they relate to product direction.
• Deliver frontend centric features end to end.
• Design and implement changes to enhance performance, resiliency, and reduce operational overhead.
• Own the delivery of a complete component of a system or application.
• Collaborate with a geographically distributed team to craft optimal designs for new product development.
• Build solutions for ill defined problems and define how components interact with each other.
• Establish and apply technologies, standards, and software engineering practices, mentoring a distributed team of developers.
• Improve development focus by tracking issues to resolution, monitoring task effectiveness, and reporting status to the team lead.
• Identify long term architecture concerns within projects and address them.
• Participate in design and code reviews across multiple projects.
• Generate planning data, including task breakdowns and effort estimates; develop accurate estimates and risk assessments; track project status as needed.
• Communicate team and project status to project management and leadership.
• May occasionally assume Team Lead responsibilities.
• Serve as the designated expert for owned application areas.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of development procedures by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with a focus on .NET.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET / .NET Core platform.
• Proficient in the ASP.NET framework and MVC design patterns.
• Experience with single page application design.
• Experience designing RPC and REST APIs.
• Extensive frontend development experience with React, including advanced components, services, routing, and state management.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend build tools.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other source control tools.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with caching solutions like Redis and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools and deploying applications with them.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
• 3 years of .NET development experience is required.
